In All Jest World Series

Epic!

Great worldbuilding and characterisation. There’s a lot of groundwork and backstory built up in vol. 1, but it all takes off from there. Lots of interesting protagonists and a magic system that recalls the inventiveness of Brandon Sanderson.

I love this series and want people to read all three books. Fantastic writing and brilliant characterisation.

Great sequel.

Such an intricate plot and characters. You’d think you’d lose track of them however with each chapter being told by a character it makes it so enjoyable. Would love to see this on the big screen. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Great continuation of the previous book. Can’t wait for the next book! In for a toe in for the whole foot! Love the different magics and the clever reveals of new information.

Couldn’t put the book down.

Enjoyable read to the point where I couldn’t put the book down. I will await the next book of what is bound to be an epic series.

Totally absorbing!

Be careful...when you pick up this book expect to put your life on hold whilst you escape into the world of Dharatan. Your family may not forgive you but you wont care as you will be so invested in what happens next to Lani. Highly recommended. I LOVED it! Can’t wait for Book II.

Stands out in a good way.

I have read so many fantasy books, that they all blend together or are forgotten, when I finish them (*if* I finish them). This book is one of the few that stand out to me, and I will follow the author in anticipation of the next book in the series.

Tension. Twists. I neglected my life in order to turn the pages as fast as I could to finish it.

This book is not usually my genre of choice. I can’t remember the last time I read one of its like. But it was enthralling and now I must live in hope that you write the next book. Finally, it is with sadness that I must return to normal life, away from the fantasy life of jesters and the people of the street.

Not all Jesting.

The story grows you as you read & you can’t help to keeping reading to see what happens next. The story takes what we know as fools & develops the into an under cover spy network. Loved the story & hope book two doesn’t take too long.

What a cracker!

What a cracker story. Beautifully written, fast paced with clever and detailed characters. I was hooked from the start and it certainly didn’t take long for me to finish. Well done and I can’t wait for Book 2.

If you’re a fantasy fan you NEED to read this book

This book grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. What a debut novel. 713 pages I read in a week couldn’t put it down. Loved all the characters, fantastic world building. Can’t wait for the next instalment. Well done Darryl.
